A properly rebuilt limerock driveway in Florida typically lasts 5–10 years with occasional maintenance grading. Longevity depends on traffic volume, drainage quality, and how well the sub-base holds up under Florida's wet-dry cycles. Annual or biannual touch-up grading extends the life significantly and is far cheaper than waiting for a full rebuild.

Limerock is crushed limestone — it compacts firm, drains well, holds up under truck and equipment loads, and is the most cost-effective choice for rural driveways in Florida. Millings are recycled ground-up asphalt. They soften in summer heat, can get oily, and break down faster in wet conditions — meaning you end up replacing material more often.
