The challenge: no truck access. The backyard sat behind the house with no gate or path wide enough for a loaded dump truck. Backing up to the hole was never an option, so every load had to be moved by hand-work with the machine.

How we did it. We dumped each load at the street on a tarp to keep the road clean, then moved the dirt to the back one bucket at a time with our John Deere 325 skid steer. Load after load, we filled the pool in lifts and compacted as we went so the ground won't sink later.

The finish. Once the pool was filled, we graded the whole area level and blended it into the yard. Two days start to finish, and the family got a safe, open backyard back instead of a pool they'd stopped using.
